Hello guys. Ever since I've had my tiger Oscar cichlid (about a year) he has floated somewhat sideways to completely sideways at the top of the tank during the night time. He is a very healthy playful hungry fish(your typical Oscar) who acts completely normal as a healthy Oscar does, during the day time. I always wandered if there was an issue with the way he slept, is there? Please let me know. I think it's nothing but I really want to hear what you guys think.

For those of you who want to know.

Tank specs:
210g
FX6-
lots of matrix bio filteration
2 250g rated sponge filters
40 percent water change every two weeks
FX6 clean every month
Sponge filters clean every 6 weeks.

Stocking:
Green severum
3 kelberi peacock bass
Jack demesy
Tiger Oscar(Tank alpha, way bigger than other fish)

Thank you guys, let me know your thoughts on the Oscars sleeping habits.

Lol, never owned an Oscar, but seems strange. I’ve had fish that just swim sideways from time to time jams I think it’s just because they are trying to fight the water current and save energy. Tbh I never payed attention to when the lights are off in the tank and room. But my guess would be if he acts fine and looks healthy during the day then it’s probably just him trying to save energy during the night. Or maybe it could just be some type of defensive thing that he does. He could be making himself look a lot larger then he really is from under so other fish leave him alone.
