I’d of catfish from Suriname.

Caught inland in the nickerie river.

I though it may have been sciades Parkeri, because it looks like it might have the massive predorsal plate on the head before the dorsal fin, but not certain on that photo. The anal fin is alittle off Aswell.

Looks like a good shout to me. Never seen one this size but they can get bigger too, allegedly over 6ft. Right location too.

My understanding is that Sciades couma is smaller than S. parkeri...but most large parkeri I've seen are much more yellow than this guy. Quite an impressive fish.
