160 gallon tank with 40 gallon sump stocking

The problem is your only working with 5 feet long and 2 feet front to back so unless you have a sure plan to rehome them someday you'll end up need a much larger tank.

Yeah after a year or year and a half I'll probably be getting a 6*2.5*2.5 tank, that's 280g with a sump.

That'd be too small for all you want, if you just wanted the arowana or the snook, then you'd probably be fine. But having an arowana paired with two snooks as well as a pair of bichirs, acaras, and 5 silver dollars would be a bit much.
 
Until you have the bigger tank, stick with something that can live in there for life, especially as a teenager. Life has a tendency to screw with our plans, just some advice from one teen to another :D
