I can’t stop....I think I’m an addict

I’ve got 3, two girls and one boy... one of the girls looks more brown as she’s gotten older, the boy has blue eyes... I’ve seen them sold as lemon - blue eye? The other female is albino with pink eyes...

Someone who knows will chime in...

Just a slurry of genetics probably ?
Looking at the pic it looks like the pupil might have a tint of red/pink...I didn’t really look at them the closely as they spent 3 hours in a sandwich bag and I wanted to get them into tanks quickly

I have albino bristled nose that are orange but with pink eyes but every now and then they throw out one that will be Snow White with blue eyes.
So where does the blue eyes come from?

Most probably from selective breeding they made leucistic BN that are mostly pearl white with the exception of the eyes

I’m not an expert on genetics or anything but by the sounds of it (and an educated guess) the blue eyes might be recessive. I think both your breeding pair might be carriers of the blue eyes (if blue eyes need one gene from each parent, again a guess) when they mate technically 25% should maybe be blue eyed from your pair.

Furthering this statement the blue eyes are reccesive but most probably both the parents are hets for blue eyed meaning either they can be siblings in which i recommend break them up or just really lucky to be hets that are unrelated
