Piranha like fish that are not exodons

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Wimple piranha (even though a piranha), charax gibbosus and sp, oligosarcus, rhoadsia altipinna, and roeboides guatemalensis.
That rhoadsia altipinna is a great looking little monster!

The Congos are a personal favorite of mine. Another African would be the African red eye or Arnold's tetra.
Diamond tetras would work also.

I vote for Columbian tetra or Congo. I had both in my 90g, the congos were longer bodied and more robust, like when they swam, they had had more force and rougher with the plants. But they are not too rough, just different than the Columbians. They love some room to swim the length of the tank.

The Columbians were about 2.5 inches as opposed to 3/3.5" and more piranha shaped deeper bodied. But they don't swim as fast as congos. Eight of them became 11 on their own and they made a nice tank presence with the congo school despite being from different continents, they enjoy similar conditions, so it worked. I plan to get Columbians back in my 120g.
