What's the best food for bass fry ?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
You could try decapsulated brine shrimp eggs, I haven't used them yet, but I just got some to try with my dace. Fortunately I got the dace eating before they came, in so now they are just a treat, but I did put 4 new ones in yesterday, I'll l let you know how they like them.

Gave some of these to my fish and they went nuts over them. Worth considering if you're still having trouble.

Yah mine have very little color at the moment, to the point I'm questioning if it is a pearl dace.
Well ik ime with red belly dace that they won't show their true colors until they are in the mood for making babies lol. I catch them regularly in minnow traps and if it's not the right time of year they look almost identical to your average minnow. Well to be more specific it's like if your were to combine a minnow with a flying fox algae eater, minnow type body but has the smaller mouth and black line like a flying fox.

Yah that's why I'm not 100% sure as when they don't have color they look very similar. I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

I'll def take a look into it. Has anyone tried live bloodworms ? Anyone know of a place that sells live baby bloodworms ?
Blood work usually work but the only downside is is that they are highly addictive for fish. It's hard to break a fish off of eating blood worms. Think of em like crack to fish. Honestly I'd say ya would have just as good of luck trying frozen daphnia or brine shrimp cubes that and they aren't addictive to fish.
