Longnose will hit around 30”-3ft in captivity over a few years
Yes i know ,but what to buy all are monster fish i like but i cant buy all because of lack of space
So till now thinking about an sil arowana

Your tank size is best suited to the silver arowana out of those options IMO
I would try to find out what killed the last gar as well before putting another fish right into the tank. at 2.5' it may have swum into the side and damaged itself, but it may have also been a problem with your water. Do you test your water?

The ph was ok and temp also ok it was freshwater and the fish was 5-6 inch when i bought it and I kept it for 2 year in my pond from small till it it died

How about ammonia, nitrite, nitrate?
Just the way you describe the fish's death sounds to me like it may have been a water issue. Wouldn't want to see you put a new fish into the same water and have it pass away as well. And not sure if you are aware of the nitrogen cycle, a new fish going into the tank would need you to complete the cycle again most likely, since the tank is empty right now

im from india and am getting 7-8 inch longnose gar price 1100 indian Rupees is this price good, also there are rtc small3-4 inch at 150 piece and silver aro's and alligator gars at 800 piece for around 7-9 inch isn't this very cheap should i buy? If then which one / i have had experience with alligator gars and rtc

I don't know what Indian prices are like, but here in NZ I'd expect that a silver Arowana would be around 10,000 INR. I don't remember seeing any Gars, but I'd expect somewhere similar.

So, yeah, awesome price in my opinion.

I paid INR 800, 8 years ago, for a 4 inch silver arowana. Prices look too good to be true, just be careful.

In galiff street pric

That might be an indication of the quality or should I say lack of quality in his animals too.

Yeah thats what im worried about
Cause the seller buys in bulk and some fish might have a disease or have some problems
He also had a stock of arapaima ,which he sold for only about 5 k
