LLuc70 is in with a shout with his araipima, it must be 6' long. Check out his thread in the "pond" section titled "araipima pond build". It's very recent.
Whether it's the biggest fish ever on MFK I don't know.
For me the biggest I ever kept are flowerhorns who got around 10-12 inches. I bought a silver arowana which was 8 inches which was on live and wouldn't take pellets, I tried to get him on hikari sticks and failed.

Bamboo shark around 30". I had them in a 300g stock tank. I was going to build a 700g plywood tank for them but I got out of salt before I got around to it.
