How to use a drip acclimation kit????

So I bought a drip acclimation kit but have no clue how to use it. The instructions are are really bad. Please help.

It's literally what it's designed for, so should do the job. But everything other than that roller clamp bit and the hose is extra stuff just getting in the way.

Curious it was actually sold as a drip acclimation kit?

I think someone gave it second-hand to some person as a drip thing you can use for fish or gardening... it was a weird story.
