What brand tank is that 450 gallon? Is it custom?

Yes custom from acrylic creations in butler Pennsylvania, would not recommend them though

Can you elaborate not to slam the company but just to understand what your talking about, I had a local tank builder build my 600 gallon and would never spend another dime with them he assured me the tank would have 3/4” acrylic all the way per my request I told him I would pay the extra to have the entire tank in 3/4” he charged me for it, notified me tank was done and asked for final payment I payed right away when I went to pick up the tank it had 3/4” acrylic on the main body and 1/2” on top and bottom I was furious asked for a refund showed him email correspondence and he refused to make it right so at that point I just took the tank I had rented a uhaul box truck to pick it up with a bunch of buddies didn’t want to lose the money on that or waste all of my buddies time for that matter. With that being said tank has been running for 4 years no crazing yet but it definitely bows the top bows pretty good that’s what I didn’t want to happen especially for the price I paid. lesson learned will be purchasing next tank from midwest custom aquariums.

That’s wild, mine is 3/4” acrylic all the way around but they didn’t pull all of the paper off the acrylic before welding the top you can see it in some of the seams on top. But the main reason I would never get another tank from them is the communication and hassle I had in dealing with them from the start of the build to the finish as well as when the overflow weir popped all the way off from not being installed correctly. Fishtankdirect was a way smoother transaction not to mention a way bigger price drop and free shipping.
