



Thank you. I really hope it is female bc females colors are just beautiful!I edited on of your pics to try and get a closer look, and at this point, it looks female to me.

The clues are.... no small spots on the lower jaw, and gill plate, and there looks to be more orange coloration starting to show.
The profile also appears to be female, being more torpedo shaped.
Of course if its young these might change.
Here is a female.
Note the lack of small spots, and torpedo shape.
Now below a male.
And in the pic of them both together, not his much higher head profile, and array of small spots on the jaw and gill plate in comparison.

My Mota is in a 75 gal with a red devil and green terror. All seem to get along very well. But I hope she is a female and from all I have heard I believe she is a female.One other thing, I seem to detect an ovipositor in your pic (although not quite sure which is a female trait.

I have a 55 gallon that I Would use for a single fish that is being beaten up in the 75. I also have a 90 gallon but I would like that to be a community tank.Have a spare tank ready.
