I edited on of your pics to try and get a closer look, and at this point, it looks female to me.

The clues are.... no small spots on the lower jaw, and gill plate, and there looks to be more orange coloration starting to show.
The profile also appears to be female, being more torpedo shaped.
Of course if its young these might change.
Here is a female.

Note the lack of small spots, and torpedo shape.
Now below a male.

And in the pic of them both together, not his much higher head profile, and array of small spots on the jaw and gill plate in comparison.

Thank you. I really hope it is female bc females colors are just beautiful!

One other thing, I seem to detect an ovipositor in your pic (although not quite sure which is a female trait.
My Mota is in a 75 gal with a red devil and green terror. All seem to get along very well. But I hope she is a female and from all I have heard I believe she is a female.

Have a spare tank ready.
What r your thoughts on a red devil and mota together? Here’s my devil. I believe she’s a female but I’m not sure. Hope she is because to many males can make the tank very aggressive and violent.

To me......Red Devil type Amphilophies are literally impossible to sex, unless I could see them in the act of spawning, or unless examining the vents very closely.
Both mature males and females are outwardly identical, because both produce nuchal humps, and fin trailors grow the same extensions.
Coloration is also, no help.
