Red Texas and Plants?

Hiya, I found a lovely Red Texas Cichlid available. I have a tank but it does have some plants. Just anubias, java fern, moss and some floating plants.
I've kept flowerhorns and I've heard red texas are similar to them. Does that mean they're also destructive with plants?

Agreed. Anything they can rip up or move they will. Lol I've even caught my FH's moving rocks that same size as themselves before. If they don't like where something is placed they will move it somewhere else or destroy it all together ime.
