Elongatus shovelnose growth?

I bought what I thought was a Lima shovelnose last October about 5” long .After digging through MFK I found out it’s probably an Elongatus. It’s doing great an eating well but it’s only grown about 2” in 11 months. Is that a typical growth rate for these guys?

Its almost at the size for growth to stall. Once it gets about 6-7 inches first year and then slow after that.
