I got a 2” bristlenose pleco three days back for my 30 gallon heavily planted tank. The tank is home to a 5” Channa Brunnea. The pleco was doing great the first day. The Channa saw it and totally ignored it. The pleco has been missing since day 2, I’m pretty sure the channa has not consumed it though. Any help ?

Lol all I can say is good luck finding it. With that much plant matter there's an almost endless supply of hiding places. Also if the pleco is small enough I could easily imagine that snakehead eating it with little to no trouble at all.

Wow...that's a shocker; a 2-inch fish didn't make it as a tankmate for a 5-inch Channa?

Sorry, but what made you seriously think this would work? Did you do any research at all?

Could place zucchini/cucumber in the tank then monitor for feedings or signs of it.

Only way I used to be able to tell if my phantoms were alive was seeing the scraping on zucchini skin appear overnight

Made a huge mistake there. Will try throwing in zucchini for sure though. I got the pleco to deal with the Planaria in my tank, any suggestion on how can I treat the planaria? Can the planaria harm Channa?

i gotta know.... is the pleco there?

nice chana! usa ?
