Come on, hands up, who zoomed in, apart from Niki_up Niki_up ( sorry Nik!) You should all know old Esox by now with his tomfoolery and impish ways.

As others have mentioned there's a high chance the little guy has been eaten. But you never know. Have you ever had a bristlenose in your hand? They're like spiky sandpaper. If the channa felt the same, and if it did try and eat it, it may have spit it out. The little pleco may have learnt its lesson and could be tucked away in the smallish crevice somewhere away from danger.

And if it does turn up OP, you may want to consider taking the pleco out. I believe plecos and such fish have a very high choke rate on fish who choose to eat them.

That’s exactly the plan. Will introduce it to my other tank which has small frontosas and clown loach.

Exactly why I still believe that the pleco has not been eater. Have been monitoring the channa very closely. It’s stomach swells up after a few shrimps, have never seen the stomach swell up at any odd hours apart from when I feed it. Hoping for the best ??

Noticed something strange today. Saw these little dark thread like thing under the driftwood, the substrate from here has been dug up recently, it wasn’t there in the morning. . It looks like pleco poop. Could it be ?
