So I was wondering how many people really breed their monster fish for example rtc, tsn, arrowanas, Stingrays, large cichlids (peacock bass, fontosa), and mahseers, an payara? Just too say by what I mean by monster fish anything over a foot long.

I know a lot of people breed freshwater stingrays, Peacock Bass, and at least 1 person I've seen has bred a rtc. Thats all I know. And I joined only in a few months, but I am pretty sure giseok jung giseok jung would know more

Yeah I know people do breed stingrays what I meant by that mostly rarer stingrays like the whiptailed rays from the amazon or some rarer species of Potamotrygon.

yeah I heard him say it once in one of his videos and honestly I’m pretty interested on how the other species aros breed like the african aros.
All of mine have been in the cichlid realm, a number not quite monsters, but most a ft or more.

Second pic are the Malagasy cichlids Paretroplus maculatus, @ 12"
3rd Chuco intermedium from Central America, spawned young only 10"

Only silver arowana, koi and goldfish, and cichlids for me. All by themselves, no coercion needed.

Very interesting array of fish we got here so the point of this thread is too conduct a survey of the people who have breed these monster fish (with consent of course) so the rest of us aquarists can replicate the results because usually when a fish breeds it means that its environment is quite right because at the end of the day who doesnt want their pets too live a better life inside a box.
Edit* also I ain’t gonna lie I’m pretty sure it may look good on a college application.
