  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Picked up a relatively new 150 gallon setup on Aquabid for $300. Tank had 2 built in overflows, 3 drilled returns, all plumbing, Amiracle wet dry, mag 24 pump, ocean clear filter with uv, wood stand, glass tops, titanium heater with temperature controller. Sold most everything separately for over $700.
You were payed to take that tank lmao nice
90 gallon for $75 came with a Xp3, Xp4, stand, lid, 5 air pumps, 6 heaters, and various other items. I got my money's worth with this one.
oh my

I got my old 220 for $150. Came with tank, stand, sump, pump, lights and plumbing. Was a great deal. Had it almost 3 years before it exploded in my living room. No more used tanks for me...

I can't agree more. I just replaced all my old used tanks this last year with brand new ones. imo smaller tanks are just too cheap brand new to Skimp on a used one. The cost of failure on a large tank is too great for me to justify buying used also.

Accessories, filters, lights, stands and stuff are all awesome used

Old thread revival. I will link my fish room thread because I have yet to purchase an aquarium. All of the tanks have been free. Listed in order of acquisition.

Two summers ago I was volunteering at a hospital. I was telling my boss about my many pets. She then told me she would give me her old 60 gallon tank she was getting rid of for free. So far my best (and only) score on a fish tank.

I got my 550g acrylic unique 9x5 footprint with nothing but a few minor scratches for $1100. Had to drive 8 hours to get it but worth it

Would you mind telling me how it was loaded and unloaded? The loading and unloading has always been something I’ve had issues with figuring out for my own uses in the future. Did the seller get some of his friends? Did you invite a few friends to tag along? Bribe some people from a local gym? I’ve considered that last one more than I care to admit.

I loaded it myself. He was a very wealthy gentleman who obviously didn’t like labor. It was acrylic so with a dolly, some straps, and the power of leverage I got it into and out of my truck myself. It only weighed like 250lbs.

Interesting, I would have thought it would have weighed more, thanks for telling me that comrade, I appreciate it.
