That’s why I love acrylic haha incredibly light! The tank is only 2’ tall so it wasn’t crazy thick acrylic and it was eurobraced. Thus it was very light at only about 3/4” thick

it’s also much more forgiving in transit and won’t shatter apart if you hit a pot hole in your truck

Also £100 for the 6 footer a couple of years ago. Although it looked a lot better in photos than in person.. very badly scratched glass and a DIY stand. But it did the job!

I got 2 55s, a stand lights etc...for a smoker I was never going to use. Used one for my wifes goldfish and the fish and wife are good to go. Happy wife, happy life. Additionally, I got a 40 and a 29 gallon full set ups on letgo. Great site and worth checking out.

May I ask how you handled the scratches? I have a 55 I'm scared to make worse sanding scratches from.

I just learnt to live with them haha. I found positioning the light off the front of the glass (so towards the back) helped a lot.
