What tetras would look good with electric blue acaras? since they will be put togather after school ends I would love If their colors complimented the other.
 
Columbians would be good to give more blue.
Serpaes would also be good so you have red and blue
Otherwise skirts or Buenos aires look good with everything

All personal opinion on what you think looks good, I would just stick with taller-bodied tetras like the ones mentioned for cichlids, as the more slender types like rummynose etc may be snacks. Even taller tetras could be eaten depending on the cichlid. I think diamond tetras are nice.

I always have a lid with any fish, better safe than sorry. Plecos generally won’t jump out of the water or climb out so it isn’t necessary, but i would still say yes.
 
Needed to ask since Its at school I only have equipment the school has. Only going to be able to find out if I get a lid monday.
 
If no lid, just keep the water level a little lower. I wish I could’ve had a school project that lets me set up a fish tank.

A lid will cut down on evaporation, and the possibility of things "falling" in the tank. Never had any of the fish you are thinking of jump on me.
