If fishkeeper mistakes count as ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels high, then I agree with everyone above. Also, noobs like me will probably kill fish not having the tank cycled, water changing, introducing the fish, or accidentally turning something off. For my second choice, I would choose Disease; mainly ick

Yes, i've had quite my mistakes with my fish? Would you say most of your mistakes were during the start of your experience in the hobby or towards the end?
Beginning to middle. When I was young I had a lot of help from pretty knowledgeable people. I had a good start then got alot of bad advise from lfses and it was before so much info was so easily attained. Now getting info is easy (compared to before the internet) I do alot of research before I get stuff now. I continue to look into attaining and bettering the lives of my fish, be it filtration, food or general care. Have I made mistakes later in my life? Sure. I try to minimize those with as much knowledge as I can gather though. Some stuff is live and learn though and you can't always expect fish to behave as a book or the internet says....as far as I know fish don't know how to read so they don't know they are supposed to act a certain way.

I'd put that under human error.
Perhaps but isn’t over feeding a bigger issue than most, if not all, of the other human error problems? I’d say it deserves its own category as such.

I seem to never have had that issue. From day one I measured and gave my fish proportions on their food always. But yes for some it is an category of itself.

I just replied to a thread on my feeding habits of my fahaka specifically and rest of my fish in general. I do think overfeeding is an issue. Does it deserve its own catagory maybe? It at least a strong candidate for a subcategory under human error.

One of the choices listed is “personal injury”, so like you broke your arms and now can’t do water changes?

I do feel it should have its own category. It is very tempting to overfeed especially with how most fish are always begging for food every time you come to the tank. I feel the only reason I didn't fall into that trap was because before I entered the hobby I had heard about the issue and how some fish had died from over-eating and it paranoid me to always think about portions when feeding, and gave me discipline.

Meaning the fish ramming into things, when their small getting in the filter, scraping themselves, etc Lol, nothing to do with the fish keeper. I realized that might be too vague but the edit option is gone now, lol.
