Bichir breeding behavior?

My male gets nippy when he wants the female to spawn.

I’ll try to post pics when they give me an opportunity, they’re both about 11” and both WC if that makes a difference

They look the same to me, but I’m not very experienced with bichirs, one difference is the one getting picked on has a much lighter coloration

Color has nothing to do with male female differences. I still think aggression. Do you know how old they are? What size?

It’s a 120, I’m not really trying to breed them, but if they do I’ll definitely try to save the young.

I definitely see a male (super-wide anal fin) in the 4th pic and the two pics on the bottom. Can't comment on the swimming one's pictures. The last pic looks like it could be male, but it's still hard for me to tell.
