So in a couple of months I will be building a 300 gallon tank 96x30x24. I am curious as to how many bichirs you all think I could keep in there. It will be a mix of course and I currently have 3 grow out tanks for different sizes.
The Ornate and Lapradei will outgrow the Delhezi and Senegalus. You could easily add more LJ species but it depends on the personality of each one. I've read about members housing at many as 8 or more in a aquarium that size. If the Senegal are CB I wouldn't risk keeping them in the aquarium with larger LJ or larger Ornate Bichir.
I agree with tlindsey personally I would keep the delhezi and senegal in a smaller tank, and then put the ornate and lapradei in the 300 along with one or two more of the ornate and lapradei and then 1 endlicheri
