I found the aquarium limit with the wife!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i only have two upstairs - ive tried to consolidate everything to one room in our house - i think the sprawling maintenance deterred me from expanding-

GL!

dr exum dr exum , how do u have the 625 gallon upstairs???

i have a 45g / 60g upstairs - were the first two tanks i got - the others are in a Den area in the basement on a slab -

The house being built is designed for a BIG aquarium in the living room under the future 105" TV. I am having the slab thickened from 4" to 6" along the wall and 3 1/2' out. I hope to build a big ass tank some day. If not there is always facebook market place.
The house is small, only 12,00 SF. This is our retirement house on our pond. Three bedrooms. Master and two smaller rooms. One is for the grand daughters and the other is for the Grand Monsters. I plan to set up breeder tanks and smaller fun tanks in the Grand Boy's room. I told her I will only have two tanks or one HUGE tank in the living room at most. Actually my biggest tank is my 1,000,000 gallon pond I had dug. I am now planning what cool North American native fish I can stock. I am a member on NANFA so I can find cool fish to "acquire" and relocate to my tank...
Here is a picture of the three youngest Grand-Monsters catching shrimp and crawfish. The pond was dug 30' deep so I can use if for geothermal cooling. Wife wants heated floors, so I will put in radiant heated floors. Walls 2"x6" with blown foam insulation. This home has been a LONG TIME in the making. The slab is framed up, plumbing is in, now to wait on things to dry up.

My aquarium limit is 1 that fits on a 10 gal stand.
I love living in a family that has no interest in any animals whatsoever ??????

Woo Dude... No animal interest?...
Well, I am in a mixed marriage. I am an animal person and my wife is not. We have a little dog, she sleeps on my side of the bed (at the foot) Wife plays the game that she is my dog not hers, but when the little dog got sick, she freaked out and was so upset until she got better.
Fish are different. I make sure and let her know how much I pay for each aquarium and the stuff, so when I die and she sells it all, she can try to get some of the money back.

My family is very...how do I put this...modern. Perhaps neo-urban. A lot of neo stuff. In lifestyle, that is. In personal philosophy, there is nothing they like more than classical music and the fine arts. In short, an incompatible hybrid of the new and the old. My dad doesn't really care about the animals, but every time I ask my mom why she hates them so much, she responds with "I like animals (she doesn't), just not in my house", at which point in the discussion I know better than to antagonize her against the animal I'm planning to get.

One more year until I move out. I'm counting the days.
