Pregnant cichled gets throat eaten

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
A couple of BN plecos may help with the algae.
Personally I would recommend getting a straight razor, one of the ones used for chipping paint off or for scraping out silicone. They come with a nice disposable flat razor that makes hard water build up and hard spot algae so much easier to remove. Same with nerite snail eggs.

Is that safe for acrylic?

Aulonocara peacocks don't defend fry, they are looking to eat them, except of course females that recently harbor newly expelled fry at least for a couple days.

problem is you have South American Cichlids mixed with African cichlids, take the South American cichlids out you'll fix the problem
For 3 dead fish is almost a year i think I will wait and try other things before I do that. Also to lump all fish in to a category is crazy. I have a Auratus cichlid And if you look at all it says it's highly aggressive the one I have is one of the calmest fish I have.
