Question about wierd brace on tank?

I’m not sure if its a brace or what, but can someone tell me what it is and used for? Tank is 48”x38”x30h 3/4” all around and 1/2” bottom.

Mr. Dee just let me have that tank lol jk those tanks are use at pools stores. They're use to show how the pool vacuum works.
