Banned?

... I'm trying to grasp how people on a fish based forum get banned??

If you really care, there must be a way to read back over some of the last postings those folk made before getting hit with the ban hammer. I'll bet that the reason for the action will be painfully apparent.

I find myself thinking the opposite way; I read some posts and wonder to myself how those individuals can possibly still be allowed to freely carry on with such drivel...:)

To clarify...I'm not referring to harmless/off-topic/joking posts. The "drivel" to which I refer is in the form of "answers" to legitimate questions that have been asked. If I know the answer to someone's question, I'll answer. If I don't know for sure, but can at least contribute in some way that might point a person in a productive direction, I'll respond but will make it clear that I am not certain.

Responding with a "guess" based on literally no knowledge or experience whatsoever...often with no disclaimer to that effect...can be potentially damaging to the original poster if they take that answer as correct. At the very least, it's a waste of everybody's time. A gentle love-tap over the skull with the banhammer tends to discourage this behaviour, as long as it's accompanied by a suggestion to keep one's pie-hole shut if nothing worth hearing is about to come out.

Over 50 plus years Sesame Street is still #1 imo. I have my toddler Grandbaby watch Sesame Street whenever she's over. Both of my now adult children watched both Dora the Explorer and Sesame Street. Elmo is still children's #1 character out of most children's programs lol.

My god Tom, you've just taken me back 45 years or so. Sesame street was just brilliant. It was always on during the school holidays, even over here in the uk. I never missed it. Bert and Ernie were my favorites but the count used to crack me up too when he'd start counting and you'd get the crash bang wallop of the thunder, lol.

Great memories.

I'm not sure it would be as easy as that John. If someone gets banned for getting into a spat and coming out with something offensive, do their posts get deleted too, along with their account? I'm not sure how it works. C Chicxulub .

Mine too. As I age I’m more like Oscar though.

What?.....you mean as you get older you look like a fish!!! I'm getting a bit wrinkly and my eyes are going but I still look like a bloke, lol.

I didn't watch sesame street when I was little. I watched Peppa Pig and Shaun the Sheep lol. ?Memories?
My brothers granddaughter watches Masha and the Bear and paw patrol.
My kids was blues clues and Barney then it was on to Catdog and Ed Edd and Eddie!
That walked around singing the catdog thyme and saying stuff like “Buttered toast” in the dummest voice you can imagine.
Oh and courage the cowardly dog. I always felt sorry for that dog
