Lol makes more sense then montana atleast. I would imagine only the toughest of the tough cichlids, like convicts, could survive the cold up there.

If I had to pick a favorite fish it would be Lepomis Humilis, a.k.a. the orange spotted sunfish. Lol never kept any as pets but imo they would make the perfect small tank cichlid replacement due to their cichlid like behaviors and their extravagant colors. Here's a pic of a male that's getting close to max size. Not my pic it's from Google lol.

I would like to try sunfish at some point but it would seem impossible where I live. They don't seem widespread outside NA

Mbu puffer looks cool from Aquarium Coop videos but I could never keep one.
