Nice! That's a sweet score, probably around 300 lbs. Ime, 1" glass costs about 5x as much as 3/4", which is already exorbitant these days. 1" is usually high quality glass because its invariably custom ordered and almost always annealed because of the difficulties in tempering such thick glass properly.

I think it would make an excellent display window for an 8' plywood tank.

As stated you definitely lucked out!

My .75" piece was $900. 98" x 35". It was also a load to move, about 250lbs. Reminded me I'm not as young as I use to be!!!
