Actually I believe its 5th level of shine. 6th level is crossback
You are correct...the 6th level are the scales that go over the back. Look at the pics again and notice the shine on the edges of the scales on the 6th row.
Are you talking about these shine? Technically they are on the edge, but seems so little. Would they still be consider 6th level shine?
I wouldn't think so but some might say yes. I'm just happy with how he looks he's a beauty

There’s a forum in the arowana section all about the tank requirements and what to feed when it comes to young arowanas and adult arowanas. I’m not sure how to post a link to the forum sorry. Minimum for Asian arowanas/ Australian arowanas is 6 x 2.5 x 2 ft whereas silver 8 x 4 x 2 ft, bigger the better. You can feed them cut up market prawns, feeders and harmless insects which are small enough to fit the arowanas mouth.
