Hello! So I will recently be getting a 100 gallon aquarium, I plan to move my community of freshwater fish that currently reside in a 75 gallon to this new tank. My questions comes from the fact that this tank was a saltwater aquarium. How do I properly prepare/clean this aquarium for freshwater fish. My main concern is residue salt making the water have a higher level of salinity than is ok. Thoughts?

If aquarium was just used for for fish only I personally would just rinse everything thing off with hot water. If the aquarium was used for a reef setup and there is Coralline algae on the glass fill the aquarium half water and white vinegar and let it soak for a few days.
The Coralline algae that you can't remove will eventually fall off the glass over time and won't harm freshwater fish. I've personally done this in the past.

Like tlindsey says, rinse everything off and fill it up. I might not even bother with the coralline unless it's all over the glass and you want it spotless.

+1
I’ve done this a few times and had light coroaline on the glass and just left it alone and it went away on its own after a few weeks
