Looks similar to what my oscars had. One still struggles a bit with it.
My remedies-
Eliminate stay voltage.
Change water with equivalent water temp water.
Don't change as much water. If necessary do more frequent changes with less volume.
Consider softening water if your tap water is hard. I use some drift wood in sump but not sure it's doing anything beneficial.
I don't want to get into using chemicals, leaves or treated/ RO water.
Consider not using carbon if you do use it.
For my fish it seems the equivalent water temp., elimination of stray voltage and non-drastic water changes help the most. I still change 60-70% tank water and all of sumps weekly. If you can change less water but more frequently it may be the best thing to do. Fish, even if the same species differ on their sensitivity to things. So sometimes it's a bit difficult to solve.
