my Aqua clear did that once and it scared me but I cleaned the impeller really well and it started working again.

Occasionally AC impellers get stuck, especially during tank maintenance.
Simply lifting the intake tube off the impeller access hole, then poking the impeller shaft with a finger or toothpick usually gets things going.
Not always neccessary to clean the impeller.
IMO, a slimey impeller is a quiet impeller. Lol.

Clean AC impellers are noisy. It will take a few weeks for the impeller to gunk up. The bio slime quiets things.
1 grain of sand can cause a impeller to become noisy. I agree with

I personally need a new motor for a 110 Aquaclear just looked Amazon $52.00. I probably will just buy a new 110 AC and store the housing for the bio and pad.
100% - I have 2 AC 110s on a 75 gal and one of them needs to be "started" with a nail or small screwdriver every time I unplug it.
Yup, I keep a wooden skewer on my aquaclear top just for this job.
