Help sexing my jack dempsy

This is my jack i think it is a female. But am not sure...any ideas. I recently bought another juvie i belive this one to be male... Any help wit this would be great. I am a new member and would like to eay hello as well soooo hi everyone.

No picture- but if it has noticeable blue beard it’s a female. If it’s got a highly spangled body it’s a male. A juvie male can be ambiguous about the spangles and the blue beard can be less prominent in some females. Pointed fins are just what Dempseys have.

Hard to be sure from this photo but it looks like there is not much if any blue bearding which suggests it is a male. It will be easier to sex as it grows.

One problem is, your substrate is very bright (white) and JDs tend to mimic substrate colors as a defense mechanism,
so they tend to wash out, and not show their true color potential, when light substrate is used.
Note in the video of JDs in nature how JDs in deeper waterside much darker, than the young ones near the end of the video living in lighter areas.

How old is your Dempsey? The male/female differences don’t become increasingly obvious until about 3 inches.
With that said, that looks a lot like how my male did at that size, and the complete lack of blue bearding suggests male.
My male when I got him at 0.5-1 inch:
