Hi there everyone I have some pet rainbow trout and a pet bluegill and I go shooting a lot for birds and squirrels and I was wondering if I could feed them the meat?

Trout at least will eat mice and baby ducks.

But.. I don’t know how you would do trying to feed a trout meat chunks in an aquarium setting.

I would t make it a staple and I’d be concerned to know they are eating it and it’s not rotting in the pond But if your pond fish exhibit strong feeding response to you feeding them- it isn’t going to hurt them in small amounts. You have to think how rarely available in there diet something might be. So maybe you feed a little bird and squirrel every 3 months or something maybe more often than that but make sure you don’t base there diet around them

Ya I was thinking as just giving it to them as a treat every once in a while because I noticed that the trout started attacking the birds that went to the pond and since I like shooting birds and squirrels I thought that it might be worth a try

Can you I would think yes, but of the options out there is is probably not the best.
