from what I’ve seen in farms from Asia they call the hump backs “King body style”

Is it painful? Thats my ethical side kicking in when it comes to the spine. Hes super cute.

Just need to be ensured people are not breeding pain into those fish. Reminds me of spine issues with dashounds when they are hunchbacked like that. Its the mom side in me kicking in with pets.

I don’t think mine is in pain and it actually lives a pretty normal lifestyle like any other bichir. But I def don’t agree with breeding for these deformities. If it happens it happens ?‍
