Going to be a lovely tank to watch.
Chocolate cichlids are awesome, I remember my true parrot he was only .5” and grew him out to 14” before I sold him. He was true terror to anything in my tank, but was so nice.
Throughout the years I too have to switch setups or fish in order to not get bored.

I've been keeping fish around 40 years so I'm guessing this will be a life long hobby. Hopefully I was just having a temporary glitch. I'm fully restored now and right back as keen as ever.
