Flowerhorn growout

I aged water in a 100g bin with an airstone and almond leaves for discus.Never heard of aging water for FH I just add dechlorinator and dump in tap water.

Why almond leaves I’m just curious. Do they add tannins or something

Yes and to lower ph,I stopped doing it eventually didn't like the tannin look.The water started looking like tea lol.Most domestic discus aren't too fussy anyway.

Lol I love the tannin look but only if it’s really light and not too dark. It’s just a bit different and eye catching

Why is my flowerhorns breeding tube popping out? Not sure if i just haven’t noticed it until now or what but the breeding tube is definitely out. HybridFinatic Magnus_Bane
