Non feeding day. What a bummer!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I don't feed on tank cleaning day (once a week). When I throw some towels and cleaning tools on top of the tank Luther and Theo know what's up. Time to bunker in down in the plants!

What do we have here? Tinfoils, balas, giant gourami and?? BTW how big are those tinfoils? Looks chunky.

Yes, 1 tinfoil, 3 Balas, 1 RTGG, 1 lemonfin barb, 3 cigar barbs, 6 filament barbs and somewhere, a bristlenose pleco.

The tinfoil is about 11", it's cousin, the lemonfin, quite similar, is about 14".

Both tanks are extremely peaceful, I got lucky really, my GG could have gone the other way and been a brute, some of them are renowned for being intolerant of tankmates.

I like keeping a mixed bag of fish species too. Although I totally respect the purists, biotype keepers, the temptation of spot selecting only my favorites is too great. Lol.

It's not ideal really but there's no harm in it. I look on my tanks as being cosmopolitan, lol. It's impossible not to mix and match in my eyes. There's so many fish in the hobby, and your tastes change too.

My chocolate cichlid has opened up a right can of worms, I want more, and I'm very impressed with the red shoulder severum too. Over the next 12 months or so I might change things around a bit.

I call those tanks ''United Nations" aquariums.
