Flowerhorn wont come out of pot

Those blue/white led lights can be extremely bright. On one of my tanks I had to get a dimmer...worked like a charm . I can bring the light down to 10%.
Lucky. I wish my light had blue lol. Try keeping it on the blue setting for a while and see if he comes out at all. If you’ve never used a grooming mirror then try putting one in to lure him out or even a golf ball will get his interest
I’ve always found blue lights to relieve fish from stress. Didn’t know they were bright.
I can tell the gravel is stressing because the fish is at the top of the pot.
Didn’t notice that. I think it would be fine to just get dark gravel and put a small layer ontop of the other stuff

I got my FH he was around 2.5/3 inches he's been in a 120g since day one. I noticed fairly quickly if he was in a bare tank he would sit right in that back corner and only swim about when the lights was off, I ended up putting bunches of artificial plants at the ends of the tank and two dotted in the middle. This made a huge difference and really brought him out.
Now my guys 6+ inches and couldn't care less about the plants, all he's bothered about now is defending he's tank from my arm during water changes ?
