That’s awesome. I have introduced my kids to the 3 Stooges This generation not knowing them may be what’s wrong in today’s culture!

Lol, I did the same with my two youngest granddaughters. Being female, they were of course not as appreciative as grandsons would have been (the Stooges tend to be a "guy thing"...) but we still had a laugh-filled rainy afternoon watching them. I took pains to explain that these were only movies, similar to the cartoons they enjoy, and that in real life it was not safe or acceptable to imitate the antics they saw on the screen.

A few weeks later, one of the girls mentioned this at school. She was sent home with a note that required her parents to sign and return it; it explained that the Stooges...and her grandfather!...both represented potentially harmful and dangerous influences on their developing minds and therefore caution and supervision was recommended.

Perhaps I should introduce them to Bugs Bunny, the Coyote and the Roadrunner...maybe even Popeye? But in this enlightened era, I would probably land in jail for doing so...:)

That's alright, Popeye could munch on his spinach and come and bend the bars for you to get out. And if that failed The Roadrunner could come to the rescue with the obligatory acme dynamite to free you, lol.

jjohnwm jjohnwm , sorry to hear about the school note for a granddaughter, seems a bit ridiculous to me but then I don't have kids and can't even imagine the state of schools today.

I watched all of the cartoons esoxlucius esoxlucius and you mentioned, including the 3 Stooges and I turned out just fine and I didn't attempt to do any of the things depicted as a child or as an adult.

There've been some great cartoons over the years. I think my favourite characters have been Yosemite Sam, Shaggy from Scooby Doo, Popeye, Foghorn Leghorn, Porky Pig and Tom and Jerry.

From the modern era the minions are fantastic. And I also love the sloth and the little squirrel character out of the ice age franchise.

You sound far too sensible to be on a wacky forum like this D deeda . Leave it a while and you'll soon be daft as a brush, just like jjohnwm jjohnwm . Lol.

As part of the younger generation...I hate what the world has turned into. It’s sad what isn’t allowed anymore.
There was a relatively recent 3 stooges movie, been a while but the slapstick was good.

I haven’t watched much scooby or popeye, but the rest are amazing! Shame what they did with the minions...once they gave them their own movie and shoved them down our throats they got annoying.
