Have you tested your water?
Yes
If I did not test my water...
  1. ...I recognize that I will likely be asked to do a test, and that water tests are critical for solving freshwater health problems.
Do you do water changes?
Yes

Would anybody happen to know what these white patches are on my Oscar? It started with a small one on his head but they have spread, and his scales are peeling a bit, around the white. He is feeding and acting just fine.A545506E-6266-4C74-8D57-2EE578B6FA89.jpeg82DFC8A7-E6F3-4ED9-A081-FCADEBD7EEE3.jpeg

How long has it been there? Could be fungus. Post ur water parameters.

I think it started a couple days ago. I used my last test strip last night before I changed my water but everything looked good. I’ll grab some more tests when I can, but currently my truck is in the shop. What does fungus usually come from? And how should I approach this? I’m pretty sure I noticed the first white spot the morning after my second to last w/c

Test strips aren’t as accurate or reliable. Try a chemical test kit

Thanks for all the replies. I’m thinking about removing him and treating in a separate tank, because his tank mate is my peacock bass and I really don’t wanna stress him out more than is necessary. Is my bass at risk too?

I’m not too good at knowing what’s contagious or not but I think most fungal problems are contagious. Again, don’t treat until kno4te kno4te can confirm what I’m saying or not
