I’ve noticed the plants were getting extremely dark green so I turned the light above it off and since then it’s gotten a lot better but now I notice this. What is it?image.jpg

nitrate 0-10
plant looks fine and can continue to live fine how it is most likely but obviously doesnt look great. maybe give it a root tab or something.

Yea I use strip tests still and the color was somewhat better 0 and 10. I’ll look into root tabs

djsaltynuts djsaltynuts i know almost nothing about plants to be honest. I should have done more research before buying the live plant but I didn’t. Also looking at seachem root tabs I noticed they have 0.55% chlorine. Is that not harmful? 639899FF-48A3-4243-B7EE-0763EC16DCAC.jpeg

if you could keep it at a constant 20 ppm itd be best.

my anubius always get overgrown by other stem plants amd ill forget about them then find them months later and theyve barely been getting light and will look exactly the same. i kind of think of them as a fake plant like a java fern because of their hardiness.

So it’s not likely that the condition right now will kill it? I’ll get some root tabs to put in my tank. Dumb question, how do I get nitrate up?
