Hi, 3 days ago I got my first channa (gachua) and when I got him he looked fine. He is still swimming about and eating so his behaviour is fine. Yet on day 2 I noticed white patches, one at the top of his head more at the back of it, and another halfway through his body. And today they gotten whiter if that makes any sense. Any advice is helpful

I’m no expert however I imagine it’ll help other more qualified people if they have visual aids. A picture is worth a thousand words, good luck though.

I’d increase the water changes to 50% a week and even twice a week. Keep the temp below 80f. Get some pics. Could be fungus.

I would give him more cover and dim the lights ,do you happen to know the source which the gachua came from? I heard most C.gachua in the Uk are sub tropical but there are tropical variants aswell.

I've posted a pic? Can anyone tell what it is? And how do I treat it? I have added salt to the tank as it said on the packaging it treats fungus. My lfs said its a safe salt
