Long Vacation and Frozen Snails

Hay fishy folks,

I have a 4”ish Fahaka eating good. Off to turkey for 3 weeks. Next door neighbor will feed 4 times weekly blood worms & .. self collected frozen bladder and ramshorn snails and Juvenile self cloning crayfish ..? Anyone have any experience with this approach..? I’m sure it will be fine for 3 weeks on just frozen blood worms but the idea of frozen snails & crayfish seems great… any thoughts..?

Just make sure the neighbor defrost the frozen items. You don’t want an ice cube in the stomach!!

I’ve been feeding every 2-3 days with 10 -14 day 50% changes.

Yes we will have a few more “ training sessions” before my trip .

i would stretch the feeding to once a week for your neighbor if no water changes will be done until you get back. Food should be package per feeding with no possibility of the neighbor deciding to add a little more. So 3 food packages. Too many have found issues with their tank after coming back from just 1 week vacations
