Fleshy Tumor or Big Parasite?

I think it was a mistake to put crushed coral right in the bottom of my Oscar tank, because Felix is digging in it all the time and now he has a blister on his lip and it has ruptured.

The other cichlids all do this, in that same tank, but they are not developing wounds.

I think Felix is just a total animal about it.

Well I did nothing about the Molly with a tumor and the tumor has doubled in size since I posted those photos.

The fish however seems to be swimming without distress and is eating regularly.

And of course so that means it’s eating like a little pig with fins.

Meanwhile Felix continues to dig & his blemish, which was ragged, has turned into a thick callus.

Brick did exactly the same thing. He was moving large rocks in his pit and had a jagged red chunk for a couple of days. Then it smoothed to the classic Oscar "chimple."
