Does anyone know if aquarium glaser sells to the public? I want to place an order for a few friends and myself.

Glaser does not sell to private people. It is a wholesaler.
If you are located in europe you can try to order from tropicwater.eu. They normally have all the fish on the glaser stocklist.

I got L173b plecos from Glaser some time ago. They were brought in by people able to import fish whom I knew. I was owed a favor by one of them and I got them at cost. Since then I got offspring of the Budrovcan line of L236 via Glaser. the trail for thee went Rio Xingu to Glaser to Budrovcan who bred them and offsprng went back to Glaser. They were acquired by a gent in Finland from Glaser and some went into an auction there.
Long story short two people got a bunc of the 236, one was Eric Bodrock of http://www.alloddballaquatics.com/index.html in PA. Eric got them to spawn and began to sell them. I bough mine from Eric in the summer of 2012.
So, one can come by Glaser fish, if you happen to know people who can and do shop there. Going back in time it was easier to do this. Glaser wants to deal on a large scale, and that leaves out a lot of people.

Some of the best fish I have ended up owning were because of sites like this one. In the days before social media fish forums and chat rooms on them were very active. I was very lucky in some of the people I chanced to meet at such places. Some I ultimately got to meet in person and some I only know online.
