Aequidens metae vs diadema I.D.

This i.d. question has been asked a few times but here goes. I have an adult female Aequidens sp. "Jenaro Herrera", which I believe is just a variation of A. diadema, and I am trying to find a male. I recently came across two small fish in an LFS labeled A. metae but I'm not so sure. Attached are pics of the two fish around 3" TL. Could these be the same species as mine, or are they actually A. metae?

Since the blotch on the body goes to the dorsal I believe it’s Diadema.

I'm leaning the same way, thanks. Probably going to get both of them and hope one winds up a male.

It’s either diadema or Jenaro Herrera. The cheek stripe isn’t long enough for metae and the iridescent blue marks in the face are thick, like diadema.
