does anyone breed them?
what cichlids can be hybridized?
is it difficult to hybridize them?

I believe most cichlids will hybridize with most cichlids, however, it is very rare to have Africans breed with south americans.

also im curious how many of a single species can i put in a aquarium?
i thought i read that cichlids will fight when they are breeding or something

Almost all Central Americans can hybridize with each other but not South American or African cichlids. South American cichlids can hybridize within there family groups / genus.

i want to stock my 55 gallon with south american cichlids
should i only have 1 or 2 of each type of cichlid to avoid them fighting?
would different types of cichlids fight between one another?

also, i have tetras and they never seem to breed
is it easier to breed cichlids than it is to breed tetras?
