So I'm just finishing up a build for my ID sharks, 600gal plywood tank- 8x4x3 inner dimensions. I live in Minnesota and it will be set up in a heated garage, kept at about 70F during cold months, and insulated against heat in summer.

My question is what kind of heaters would y'all recommend? Submersible, in-line, etc... Ive never used an in-line heater before, though I've always used canister filters.

Pros, cons, and suggestions please?

I have a 500 gallon in a garage that’s outside in Ohio not heated and run a 1500 watt titanium works just fine

Wouldn't comment on the wattage.
But for ID sharks I'd prefer inline heaters or I'd use heater guards made off pvc pipes with the submersible ones.
ID sharks tend to ram into things when spooked or sometimes on their own.
