I agree with you guy's based on how he looks. Although the place I got him from told me he was a Fireman's dream cichlid from Wubba?
That's why I'm confused.
It doesn't matter to me because I love his coloration and personality.

Is the fire man's dream not just a name for a certain flowerhorn breed though. I could be wrong but I believe that's the name given to the type of flowerhron you have.

Hes a bute though keep us updated with his growth pics ??

I have no idea if the fireman's dream is a particular breed?

It's just when I Google fireman's dream it doesn't look like what I have.

When I Google Golden Base flowerhorn it looks like what I have.

I'll admit I don't know much intricate detail about the flowerhorn types.

I like the way he looks hopefully he stays the same pinkish coloration as he gets bigger.

Yes, that is what the shop owner said when I bought it. Said that my flowerhorn was a Fireman's dream from that breeder.
When I look up that term "Fireman's dream flowerhorn" the pictures look different than mine.
When I look up "Golden base flowerhorn" that looks more like what I got.
Thank you.

Could just be a lower grade fireman's dream or could be falsely marketed as FD line as I've seen done before with random goldenbase flowerhorn. Though as long as you are happy with your fish the background is irrelevant.
